The evening “Ranch Rendezvous” starts with a 1 hour trail ride for ages 7 and up, and then a wagon ride pulled by our Percheron draft horse team, Ben and Junior, to “The Sedona Lookout”, our all-weather cookout site with spectacular 360 degree views of Sedona, the Verde Valley and the Mogollon Rim. You will enjoy our spectacular sunsets and even see the lights of Jerome “floating in the sky”. The Sedona Lookout is a ramada for outdoor patio dining, so please dress accordingly. In the winter, it is partially enclosed and has patio heaters.
For those people in your party who aren’t going to go on the horseback ride (kids under 7, grandparents, and others) we offer a Dinner Only Option. See the details below.
At the cookout, you’ll sing along with Alvie Self, a member of both the Western Swing and the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, and his acoustic guitar and fiddle. He’ll sing you some cowboy songs and play your requests…unless they are so-called “New Country”! Alvie is definitely Old School and has been playing and singing at our evening cookouts for more than 10 years. Our guests love him (so do we!).
You’ll spend a total of about 3 hours as our guest for the ride and Cookout, enjoying delicious food in a casual atmosphere with room for your kids to roam.
The menu features mesquite grilled steak, cut and bought locally the day it is served, with cowboy beans, corn on the cob, grilled peppers, salad, and peach cobbler, all accompanied by iced tea, lemonade and water (You are welcome to BYOB). You can request salmon or a veggie burger instead of steak, and regular hamburgers are also available. Steaks are cooked to order, and menu choices are made with your reservations. Please do also tell us of any food allergies or dietary needs when you make your reservation.
· Includes 1 hour trail ride
· 250 pound weight limit for riders
· Kids must be 7 years old or older to ride.
If members of your group do not want to ride, they can enjoy the rest of the evening by selecting the “Dinner Only” option. They will meet up with you after the trail ride and join you on the wagon ride to dinner so you can all enjoy a great meal and entertainment together.
